Eggshells is an independent low budget film released in 1969. It is the first film directed by Tobe Hooper. It was written by Kim Henkel and Tobe Hooper (writers of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre). It was produced by Tobe Hooper. It had a budget of $100,000. The film was believed to be lost, but it has been announced that a print has been found and was show at the SXSW 2009 film festival. Tobe Hooper described Eggshells as "a hippie movie". Watchmaker Films will be releasing a DVD of Eggshells later this year.
